Abstract:
To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery of such a configuration that a stop tape is placed at the flat part of a wound electrode body, and Li precipitation can be restrained appropriately.SOLUTION: A nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery includes a wound electrode body, a nonaqueous electrolyte, a battery case, and an insulator film. The end part of the wound electrode body in the winding direction is fixed by sticking a tape to the end part and one flat surface. The insulator film is provided with a recess at a part adjacent to the tape and facing the tape. Average thickness (a) of the insulator film at a part facing one flat surface to which the tape was stuck, excepting the recess, is larger than the average thickness (b) of the insulator film at a part facing the other flat surface to which the tape is not stuck.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
