Abstract:
To prevent a duplicate fold from arising in a second sheet folding process when the folding process is performed by a nip-reverse method.SOLUTION: A sheet processing apparatus includes: a first folding roller pair 2 that folds a sheet P; a forward-reverse roller pair 3 that conveys downstream the sheet P folded by the first folding roller pair 2; and a second folding roller pair 4 that further folds the sheet P folded by the first folding roller pair 2. The forward-reverse roller pair 3 is rotatable in both of a forward direction and a reverse direction when driven for conveyance, and is locked in one rotation direction but rotatable in the other rotation direction when not driven.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 17
