To provide a snack food product that has different strength between the surface and the cross section, and has two types of eat-texture of rigidity and crispy feeling, and to provide a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: Provided is a snack food product in which the ratio (A)/(B) of surface strength (A) to cross-section strength (B) is 1.5 or more. Embodiments in which the surface strength (A) is 900 g or more, the amount of protein contained in 100 g of the snack food product is 10 g or more, the amount of carbohydrate contained in 100 g of the snack food product is 20 g or less, etc. are preferred.SELECTED DRAWING: None
