Abstract:
To provide a washing machine which detects and controls starting failure due to foam during dewatering with good accuracy and which progresses a dewatering step smoothly.SOLUTION: A washing machine includes: water level detection means for detecting a water level; motor current detection means for detecting a driving current value of a motor; and control means for controlling an operation of the motor, a water supply valve, a drain valve and the like and for controlling each step of a series of steps of washing, rinsing, dewatering and the like. In the dewatering step, when a rotary drum 1 is rotationally driven within a predetermined rotational frequency range R1, a motor current value is larger than a predetermined value A1. Also in the case where a water level in a water receiving tub 2 is higher than a predetermined water level, a dewatering operation is stopped and the step is shifted to a defoaming step for deforming detergent foam in the water receiving tub 2. With this constitution, without erroneously detecting unbalance defect when clothing is distributed in an unbalanced state in the rotary drum 1 as starting failure due to foam during dewatering, control is performed with respect to starting failure due to foam during dewatering with good accuracy, and the dewatering step can be progressed smoothly.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
