Abstract:
To reduce the number of components by eliminating a purge valve to enable reduction in the weight and cost, and suppress instability of engine combustion caused by a fuel constituent discharged from a canister.SOLUTION: An evaporative fuel treatment device for a vehicle includes: a secondary air introduction device 45 in which an exhaust pipe 29 connected to an exhaust port 19 of an engine 10 is connected to an air cleaner 25 by secondary air piping 49 having a secondary air valve 50 to introduce air in the air cleaner to the exhaust pipe as secondary air; and an evaporative gas recovery device 46 in which a fuel tank 34 is connected to a canister 55 by breather piping 56 to adsorb a fuel constituent in evaporative gas from the fuel tank to an adsorbent 60 in the canister for recovery and the canister is connected to a communication section by purge piping 57 to emit and guide the fuel constituent adsorbed by the adsorbent to the communication section by using the purge piping. The communication section of the evaporative gas recovery device 46 is located between the secondary air valve 50 and the air cleaner 25 in the secondary air piping 49.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
