Abstract:
To provide a driving support device which can make a driver more clearly recognize what extent of an allowable vehicle speed.SOLUTION: A driving support ECU includes: a trach creation part which creates an ideal track L for travelling an automobile 1 and sets the upper limit or lower limit of the vehicle speed at each position in the ideal track L; a guiding control part which performs automatic steering so as to move the automobile 1 along the ideal track L; an own vehicle position estimation part which estimates the current position of the automobile 1; and an image control part which displays a vehicle speed level gauge G indicating the upper limit and the lower limit of the vehicle speed on a display based on the position estimated by the own vehicle position estimation part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
