Abstract:
To improve the accuracy of gain correction in a radiography apparatus in which the sensitivity of some nonnormal pixels having different sensitivity from surrounding normal pixels may vary with a tube voltage.SOLUTION: The radiography apparatus includes: storage means for storing correction image data which represents relative sensitivity of each pixel of the radiography apparatus, the correction image data being generated when imaging is performed with no subject present; acquisition means for acquiring subject image data output by the radiography apparatus when imaging is performed with a subject present; estimation means for estimating the tendency of change of nonnormal pixel sensitivity relative to normal pixel sensitivity according to the spectral change of radiation reaching the radiography apparatus; calibration means for calibrating the correction image data based on the estimated tendency of change of the nonnormal pixel sensitivity each time subject image data is acquired; and correction means for applying gain correction to the acquired subject image data using the calibrated correction image data.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
