Abstract:
To prevent, in an update system for updating programs executed by a plurality of electronic control devices having different activation or reactivation timings, inconsistency between the versions of the programs.SOLUTION: An update system comprises a plurality of electronic control devices and an update management device. The update management device comprises: a request unit for requesting the plurality of electronic control devices to update programs; and a storage unit for storing the update results of the programs transmitted from the plurality of electronic control devices. Each electronic control device comprises: a first storage region; a second storage region; an update unit for storing an updated program in the second storage region and transmitting an update result to the update management device in response to a request from the update management device; and a switching unit which, when the update results stored in the storage unit indicate that the update of the programs in the plurality of electronic control devices has been completed, allows the start of prescribed control by the updated program stored in the second storage region.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
