Abstract:
To provide a technology capable of suppressing catalyst deterioration in a fuel cell stack and quickly responding to an output request to the fuel cell stack.SOLUTION: A fuel cell system comprises a fuel cell stack, a compressor which supplies a cathode gas to the fuel cell stack, and a control unit which controls components of the fuel cell system including the compressor. When there is no power output request to the fuel cell stack, the control unit alternately switches the supply period during which the compressor supplies the cathode gas and the stop period during which supply of the cathode gas is stopped. The supply period is longer than the stop period. A flow rate of the cathode gases supplied by the compressor during the supply period is smaller than a flow rate when there is a power output request to the fuel cell stack.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
