Abstract:
To remove Friedel's salt from a pollutant containing the Friedel's salt to use the pollutant (incineration ash such as of general waste) as alternative raw material for cement.SOLUTION: An alkali earth metal compound and a small amount of water are added to a metal-free pollutant containing Friedel's salt into an impalpable powder form by using a pulverizer to manufacture a mixture. Upon manufacturing the mixture with the pulverizer, processing heat (shearing heat) by pulverization occurs to produce a compound of alkali earth metal and water with chlorine. Since the produced compound is water-soluble, a chlorine compound contained in the pollutant is easily removed by rinsing the mixture formed into an impalpable form.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
