Abstract:
To provide modulation of angiogenesis.SOLUTION: The invention provides a method for treating a pathological condition which can be improved by providing angiogenesis. The invention is generally directed to bringing about angiogenesis by administering a cell expressing and/or secreting one or more pro-angiogenic factors. The invention also is directed to a drug discovery method for screening agents that modulate the ability of cells to express and/or secrete one or more pro-angiogenic factors. The invention is also directed to a cell bank that can be used to provide cells for administration to a subject, the bank comprising cells having desired levels of expression and/or secretion of one or more pro-angiogenic factors.SELECTED DRAWING: None
