Abstract:
To provide a pipe joint which can inhibit leakage of a fluid even if pipes are inserted into the pipe joint in a state where a joint body and a cap member are assembled.SOLUTION: A pipe joint includes: a lock ring 5 which restricts inserted pipes 2A, 2B from being pulled out; and a seal ring which inhibits a leaking fluid from leaking to the outside. A joint body 3 and a cap member 4 have contact surfaces which contact with each other in an axis direction in an assembled state. At least parts of the contact surfaces are formed as contact seal surfaces which contact to be sealed. A gap between the joint body 3 and the cap member 4 is securely sealed by the contact seal surfaces to inhibit leakage of the fluid from the gap between the joint body 3 and the cap member 4 to the outside of the pipe joint 1 even if the fluid leaks from a gap between a backmost end surface 15 of the pipe 2A and a stepped surface 16 of the joint body 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
