Abstract:
To improve bookbinding capacity of an image formation device having bookbinding means.SOLUTION: An image formation device 100 comprises: printing means 230 which forms an image onto a text and a cover sheet according to text data and front cover data of a printing job; bookbinding means 110 which pastes the cover sheet to a text bundle; spine width setting means 706; storage means 202 which stores cover sheet data created based on a set value as information which represents a spine set via the spine width setting means by a user; measuring means 201 which measures a thickness of a partial text bundle of the printing job; and control means 201 which determines whether a measured value of the measuring means is coincident with the set value or not. The control means adjusts a layout of cover sheet data stored in the storage means based on the measured value and renews cover sheet data when the measured value is not coincident with the set value, and forms an image onto the cover sheets of a designated number of the printing job by the printing means according to renewed cover sheet data.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
