Abstract:
To provide a killing method of slug which can kill the forming of the slug in inexpensive price in a stand-by state that blowing process is not carried out.SOLUTION: In a killing method of slug 4 in converter-type smelting furnace 1 having a top-blown lance 12, molten iron 3 and the slug 4 is contained to a furnace body 11 of the smelting furnace 1. In a stand-by state that blowing process blowing gas 2 containing oxygen from the top-blown lance 12 to the molten iron is not carried out, when the slug 4 in the furnace body 11 is forming, the gas 2 is blown into the furnace body 11 from the top-blown lance 12.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
