Abstract:
To provide a display driver and a semiconductor device with which it is possible to suppress an increase in device scale and drive a display device at high speed with low power consumption.SOLUTION: The display driver comprises: a data capture unit for capturing pixel data and outputting it synchronously with edges of a clock signal; an amp for amplifying a grayscale voltage that corresponds to the pixel data outputted from the data capture unit; and a bias voltage generation unit for generating a bias voltage to set the current value of operation current of the amp and supplying it to the amp, the bias voltage generation unit including a register that stores first information that represents a bias voltage for setting the current value of operation current to the first current value and second information that represents a bias voltage for setting the current value of operation current to a second current value lower than the first current value. The bias voltage generation unit generates a bias voltage of the first voltage value before a first period elapses after an edge of the clock signal and switches it to the second voltage value when the first period has elapsed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
