Abstract:
To provide an imaging apparatus capable of reducing the time from the half-pressing of a release button to the driving of a focus lens.SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus includes an imaging part which captures an image by an optical system having a focus adjustment optical system 32 and outputs a signal, a detection part which detects the focusing position of the focus adjustment optical system 32 where the image by the optical system is focused on the imaging part on the basis of the signal outputted from the imaging part, a position control part which controls the position of the focus adjustment optical system 32, and an operation part which is operated to control the position of the focus adjustment optical system 32 to the focusing position by the position control part. When the operation part is operated, the position control part controls the position of the focus adjustment optical system 32 on the basis of the focusing position detected by the detection part up to movement to the focusing position from the start of the movement of the focus adjustment optical system 32.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
