Abstract:
To provide an air bag 1 using a woven cloth base material 11 manufactured by an OPW system for integrally providing a tether 3 on the inside of a bag body 2.SOLUTION: The air bag 1 of the present invention comprises: the bag body 2 having a pair of mutually opposed woven cloth panels 5 and 6 and expandable so as to mutually separate the mutual woven cloth panels; and the tether 3 for connecting the mutual woven cloth panels 5 and 6 on the inside of the bag body 2 and regulating a distance between the pair of woven cloth panels 5 and 6 when expanding the bag body 2. The tether 3 is composed of: a single woven part W1 among the woven cloth base material 11 manufactured by the OPW system having the single woven part W1 composed of one sheet of woven cloth and two sets of double woven parts W2 extending in a state of respectively overlapping two sheets of woven cloths in the mutually inverse direction in a jointless state from the single woven part W1, and the pair of woven cloth panels 5 and 6 are respectively composed of a material of expanding in a planar shape while mutually separating two sheets of woven cloths 51, 52 and 61, 62 of the double woven parts W2 in respective sets among the woven cloth base material 11.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
