Abstract:
To provide a magnesium oxide powder of which water resistance and acid resistance are improved without adding a treatment by other materials to magnesium oxide, a manufacturing method therefor, a heat conductive resin composition, a heat conductive grease, and a heat conductive coating.SOLUTION: There is provided a magnesium oxide powder having median diameter (D) of 5 to 100 μm, purity of MgO of 98 mass% or more, content of a Ca compound of 2 mass% or less in terms of CaO, and a mass ratio between a magnesium ion and a calcium ion in a solution when impregnated into a pure water and stood at 95°C for 24 hr. of 10 or less.SELECTED DRAWING: None
