Abstract:
To provide a saddle-riding type vehicle that can properly perform adjustment of engine output for changing a gear ratio of a transmission by accurately determining whether or not intentional shift operation by a driver is made, while suppressing increase of cost.SOLUTION: A load sensor SE5 detects a load applied by a driver operating a shift pedal 210. A shift cam sensor SE4 detects a rotation angel of a shift cam of a transmission 5. It is determined whether or not a load condition that a load detection value exceeds a load threshold is satisfied. It is determined whether or not an angle condition that a rotation angle detection value exceeds an angle threshold is satisfied. When the load condition and the angle condition are satisfied, it is determined that intentional shift operation by the driver is made, and adjustment of engine output is performed for changing a gear ratio. When at least one of the load condition and the angle condition is not satisfied, it is determined that shift operation is not made.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
