Abstract:
To provide a control unit capable of suppressing deterioration of a smoothing capacitor due to heat.SOLUTION: A control unit 100 of an electric power unit 10 of a vehicle 1 comprises a first step-up converter 11, a second step-up converter 12, a smoothing capacitor 14, an inverter 13, an electric motor MG2, and a dynamo MG1. The control unit 100 further comprises: temperature detecting means 33, 32 for detecting temperatures of the smoothing capacitor 14 and second step-up converter 12 respectively; and control means 17 which performs current control to reduce currents output from the first step-up converter 11 and second step-up converter 12 respectively when a temperature of the smoothing capacitor 14 is higher than a third predetermined temperature and a temperature of the second step-up converter 12 is higher than a second predetermined temperature, and also supplies electric power generated by the dynamo MG1 to the electric motor MG2 on condition that electric power supplied from a power source 20 to the electric motor MG2 is deficient.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
