Abstract:
To provide an asphalt mixture silo which can determine whether or not an asphalt mixture in a transport bucket is discharged and which is suitable for safety and operation, and to provide a method for operating the same.SOLUTION: An asphalt mixture silo includes: a photoelectric sensor 44 for detecting the presence or absence of an asphalt mixture at a discharge port 34 at a lower part of a transport bucket 25 moved to the mixture discharge position is provided; determining means for determining that the asphalt mixture is being discharged when the photoelectric sensor 44 detects the presence of the asphalt mixture in the discharge port 34 after discharge gates 35a, 35b for opening and closing the discharge port 34 are opened, and determining that discharge of the asphalt mixture has been completed when the absence of the asphalt mixture at the discharge port 34 is detected; and alarm issuing means for issuing an alarm when discharge of the asphalt mixture is not completed within a predetermined time limit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
