Abstract:
To provide an electric drive unit which can improve efficiency.SOLUTION: An electric drive unit comprises: a first motor; a first planetary gear mechanism connected to the first motor; a second motor; a second planetary gear mechanism connected to the first planetary gear mechanism and the second motor; a first output axis connected to the first planetary gear mechanism; a brake device connected to the second planetary gear mechanism; and a fastening device. The brake device switches a brake state for regulating the rotation of a part of the second planetary gear mechanism and a non-brake state for freely rotating the second planetary gear mechanism, and the fastening device switches a fastening state for fastening a first rotating body possessed by the first planetary gear mechanism or the second planetary gear mechanism, and a second rotating body possessed by the first planetary gear mechanism or the second planetary gear mechanism with respect to each other and a non-fastening state for freely rotating the first rotating body and the second rotating body with respect to each other. When either of the first motor and the second motor is driven in the non-brake state and the fastening state, the first planetary gear mechanism and the second planetary gear mechanism rotate.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
