Abstract:
To provide a support apparatus capable of improving processing surface accuracy by suppressing occurrence of vibration during cutting.SOLUTION: A plurality of support apparatuses 1 are installed in a machine work facility that performs intermittent cutting, and support a workpiece (for example, slab) from a lower surface side, and are aligned in a first axial direction (x-axis direction) parallel with a horizontal direction. The support apparatus comprises: a main body part 10 extending in a second axial direction (y-axis direction) that is orthogonal to the first axial direction and parallel with the horizontal direction; and a plurality of support parts 11 which are installed in the main body part 10 and are aligned in the second axial direction. The support parts 11 respectively comprise: support blocks 110 contacting with undersurface of the workpiece; lifting mechanisms (for example, hydraulic cylinder 111) lifting the support blocks 110 from the main body part 10. The support blocks 110 are lifted so that the workpiece is supported by the support parts 11 in the underside of the workpiece.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
