To provide a drive system that is able to exert various drive controls.SOLUTION: A drive system used in a man-power driven vehicle including: a brake device configured to brake a wheel by means of friction; and a first operation unit configured to operate the brake device, comprises: a first motor configured to allow assisting of propulsion of the man-power driven vehicle; a second motor configured to allow braking of the wheel by means of magnetic force; and a control unit that controls the first motor and the second motor, the control unit controlling the second motor so as to brake the wheel while the brake device is not controlled by the first control unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
