Abstract:
To provide a commodity information reader capable of acquiring commodity specification information without attaching a wireless tag to all commodities.SOLUTION: A commodity information reader of the embodiment includes: a first placement part on which a commodity to be read is placed; and a wireless tag receiver for receiving first commodity specification information specifying the commodity in response to a signal transmitted from the antenna, from a wireless tag provided above the first placement part, having an antenna for transmitting and receiving the signal and attached to the commodity moved into a predetermined receivable area provided above the first placement part from the first placement part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
