Abstract:
To provide an image formation device capable of minimizing driving sound caused by driving, while maintaining the driving of a DC fan in a standby state.SOLUTION: When an image formation device is in a standby state, DC fans 60 and 61 are rotated at a prescribed PWM duty ratio (step S202), and then a minimum PWM duty ratio at which the DC fans 60 and 61 can rotate is calculated by reducing the PWM duty ratio until their rotation stop (steps S205 and S207). A prescribed addition width, e.g, 2%, is added to the calculated PWM duty ratio, and the resultant PWM duty ratio is set as the PWM duty ratio for the standby state (step S208). A step-down chopper circuit for driving the DC fans is controlled with the PWM duty ratio set, thus driving the DC fans.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
