To provide a tracker for a dispenser.SOLUTION: A dispenser comprises: a cap attached to a housing; a sensor system 1402 for sensing information on the dispenser; a communication system for communicating, to a remote device 1308, when an article in the dispenser was supplied, when the cap was opened or closed, the amount of the article supplied, the amount of the article in the dispenser, information on a pattern of use of the article; and a battery for powering the sensor system and the communication system.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 38B
