Abstract:
To provide a pneumatic tire having a support rubber which suppresses concentration of distortion in a periphery of a wind-up end of a chafer layer and improves scorch performance and hardness.SOLUTION: A pneumatic tire includes a bead core 31, a bead filler 32, a carcass ply 4, a side wall rubber 21, a chafer layer 5 which is folded back from a tire inner surface side to a tire outer surface side in peripheries of the bead core 31 and the bead filler 32 and is wound up around an outer surface of the carcass ply 4, and a pair of support rubbers 6 and 23 which are positioned between the side wall rubber 21 and the carcass ply 4 and are arranged so as to sandwich a wind-up end part 5b of the chafer layer 5 from both sides in a tire width direction. Modulus values of the pair of support rubbers 6 and 23 are higher than a modulus value of the side wall rubber 21. Scorch resistance of an unvulcanized rubber composition of the support rubber 6 is maintained. Hardness of the hardened support rubber 6 is improved.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
