Abstract:
To provide a method and an apparatus for forming a radius filler for use in a composite lay-up.SOLUTION: A radius filler forming tool (500) comprises: a prescribed number of grooves (504) disposed in a surface (506); and vacuum channels (528) disposed in the surface (506) and surrounding the prescribed number of grooves (504). Multiple segments (502) of a radius filler are placed in the prescribed number of grooves (504).
