To obtain, for example, a gear mechanism having a new structure which enables further improvement of lubricity between a shaft and a gear.SOLUTION: A gear mechanism of the invention includes, for example, a first shaft provided with a lubrication oil storage part, having an infiltration passage in which at least one component of lubrication oil at least partially stored in the storage part seeps to an outer periphery, and formed by a porous metallic material, and a first gear which is supported by the first shaft in a manner that the first gear can rotate around the outer periphery.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
