Abstract:
To provide a tensioner which has a simple structure, enables easy assembly, has small passage resistance, and smoothly performs pressure release during leakage to stabilize oil pressure in a pressure oil chamber in a good condition.SOLUTION: A relief valve unit 151 has a cap member 156 which fits in a seat member 152 and holds a stopper member 155 in the seat member 152. An external relief hole 123 which allows communication between a relief side space 126 of a plunger hole 122 and the outside of a plunger 120 opens at the radial outer peripheral surface side of the plunger 120.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
