Abstract:
To provide means which inhibits deformation of a frame that supports a feed arm, and achieves proper sheet feeding.SOLUTION: A conveying device has: a feed tray 20; a feed roller 25; a feed arm 26 which supports the feed roller 25 rotatably and can turn around an axis 27; a guide member 29 which supports the axis 27 and sections a second conveying passage 66 that conveys paper 12; a guide member 30 which is provided opposite to the guide member 29 across the second conveying passage 66 and sections the second conveying passage 66; a reinforcing member 35 which is supported by the guide member 29 and moves between a first position and a second position by driving force; and a holding member which holds the reinforcing member 35 at the first position so as not to move to a direction separating from the second position by coming in contact with the reinforcing member 35 located at the first position. The shortest distance between the reinforcing member 35 located at the first position and the guide member 30 is shorter than the shortest distance between the reinforcing member 35 located at the second position and the guide member 30.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
