Abstract:
To develop and provide a method by which bagworm silk is collected from a bagworm nest easily, in large amounts, and at low cost, such silk not containing impurities and being of high quality.SOLUTION: By utilizing the behavior of bagworms, only the pure bagworm silk forming a bagworm nest can be obtained by (S0102) causing the bagworms to build a nest with a nest material of a solvent soluble material and an easily-heat-soluble material, (S0104) dissolving or melting the nest material, and (S0106) separating the nest material and the bagworm silk.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1A
