Abstract:
To provide a simple dressing method of a cutting blade which can save a dressing board while reducing a round region of a tip of the cutting blade.SOLUTION: A dressing method of a cutting blade comprises: a first cutting step for making the cutting blade cut into a dressing board which is held at a holding face of a chuck table by a cut-in depth not exceeding a length of the cutting blade in a radial direction in a round region, relatively moving the chuck table and the cutting blade to a direction parallel with the holding face, and vertical to a direction of an axial core of a spindle, and forming a cutting groove at the dressing board; and a second cutting step for making the cutting blade further cut into a groove bottom of the cutting groove which is formed in the first cutting step by the cut-in depth not exceeding the length of the cutting blade in the radial direction in the round region, relatively moving the chuck table and the cutting blade in the direction parallel with the holding face, and vertical to the axial core of the spindle, and cutting the groove bottom following the cutting groove.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
