Abstract:
To propose a wheel bearing device which includes a power device and suppresses heat generated when large current flows therethrough to a low level even in the power device with a limited dimension by reducing temperature rise caused by the heat generated by a coil with circulation of a cooling oil.SOLUTION: A wheel bearing device includes a wheel bearing 2 and a motor 3 serving as a power device. The motor 3 has: a stator 18 attached to a fixed ring 4 of the wheel bearing 2; and a rotor 19 attached to a rotary ring 5. A case 23 serving as an outer shell of the motor 3 and the wheel bearing 2 forms a sealed space filled with lubrication oil therein. In the wheel bearing device, circulation power generation means, such as an impeller 74, which circulates cooling oil in a circulation oil passage provided within the case 23 is provided.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
