Abstract:
To provide a technique that enables safer control of a vehicle while allowing control to be continued as much as possible when a failure occurs in a part of a calculation unit in a vehicle control system mounted on the vehicle.SOLUTION: In a vehicle control system, a failure recognition unit is configured to recognize in S302 that other calculation units excluding the calculation unit are broken. A control output unit is configured, in S313 and S323, to perform, when, with the calculation unit which is broken as a failure unit and the calculation unit which is not broken as a normal unit, the calculation units equal to or more than a specified number set in advance as two or more among other calculation units are failure units, an output indicating that preset fail-safe processing is to be performed; and to perform, when the calculation units less than the specified number among other calculation units are failure units, an output that the normal unit performs travel control of a vehicle different from the fail-safe processing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
