Abstract:
To provide a catalyst for producing methane from carbon dioxide, carbonate ions or hydrogencarbonate ions, a method for producing methane from carbon dioxide, carbonate ions or hydrogencarbonate ions by using the catalyst, and a method for producing the catalyst.SOLUTION: A catalyst for methane synthesis contains (A) graphite-like carbon nitride, and (B) at least one element selected from 14-17 Group elements (excluding elements in the second period).
