Abstract:
To provide an air conditioner for a vehicle capable of improving the coefficient of performance at the time when heating the interior of a vehicle cabin.SOLUTION: An air conditioner for a vehicle comprises: an ambient air heat absorption priority operation mode in which a coolant absorbs heat from an ambient air by an outdoor heat exchanger 7 since starting up; a heater priority operation mode in which the coolant absorbs heat by generating heat using an electric heater 66 since starting up; a COP calculation part for calculating performance coefficients COPhp and COPhtr every starting-up time; a storage part for accumulating the performance coefficients COPhp and COPhtr; and an operation mode determination part for determining superiority from the coefficients COPhp and COPhtr of prescribed starting-up times to decide the operation mode to be carried out at next start-up time on the basis of a determination result.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
