Abstract:
To provide a method and a device for providing voice command operation in a passenger vehicle having a plurality of passengers.SOLUTION: The voice command control unit is operative to monitor microphone data associated with voice commands within the vehicle cabin to determine whether the microphone data includes wake-up word data. If the wake-up word data is associated with more than one of a plurality of vehicle cabin zones and more than one wake-up word occurs simultaneously, then each microphone data is monitored for voice command data received from each of two or more of the two or more vehicle cabin zones. When voice command data is detected, it is processed to generate respective vehicle device commands, and a vehicle device command is transmitted to provide a voice command.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
