Abstract:
To improve performance for regulating forward movement of a head of a crewman.SOLUTION: When an impact is applied to one side wall part of a vehicle from a diagonally front side or a lateral side, a fur side airbag device supplies a gas for expansion to an air bag 50, and causes the air bag to expand and inflate between adjacent vehicle seats, thereby protecting a crewman P1, who sits on a vehicle seat on a side far from the side wall part, from an impact. The air bag 50 comprises: a main protection part 61 which is attached to a seat frame, and expands and inflates on a lateral side of the crewman P1; and a sub protection part 63 which is so attached to the main protection part 61 in the state communicated with a front end part 61a of the main protection part, and expands and inflates in the front of a head PH of the crewman P1. One end 81a of a sub-tether 81, which is located between the sub protection part 63 and the main protection part 61, is connected to an end 63a of the sub protection part 63 on a side opposite to a portion which is connected to the front end part 61a of the main protection part 61, and the other end 81b is connected to the main protection part 61.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
