Abstract:
To achieve good startability of an engine while suppressing an early deterioration of a glow plug.SOLUTION: An electric supercharger 51 is provided in an intake passage 30, a bypass passage 64 is provided for bypassing the electric supercharger 51, an intake throttle valve 32 is provided in the intake passage 30 at its downstream side further than the electric supercharger 51, and a glow plug 16 is provided. When the engine is started in a fourth cold state that a temperature in a cylinder 2 is lower than a reference temperature, the glow plug 16 is electrified at an electrification amount smaller than a maximum electrification amount while an intake air circulation flow is formed for intake air supercharged by the electric supercharger 51 to be returned through the bypass passage 64 to the electric supercharger 51.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
