Abstract:
To provide an insertion type connection unit having a function in which an appropriate amount of a leakage current is flowed in accordance with a level of a grounding resistance value over time to check whether a grounding resistance is normally functioning.SOLUTION: An insertion type connection unit includes: a plug blade inserted in response to a plug receiver at each pole provided in a receptacle; a power supply circuit electrically connected to the plug blade to obtain driving power; a current generation part for flowing an electric current between a neutral pole and a grounding pole in a receptacle circuit; a voltage measurement part for measuring a voltage between the neutral pole and the grounding pole; and a grounding resistance calculation part for calculating a grounding resistance from the electric current generated from the current generation part and the voltage measured by the voltage measurement part. A repetition confirmation part is also provided that makes the grounding resistance calculation part calculate a grounding resistance at a predetermined time interval. By the obtaining of a level of the grounding resistance that changes within a predetermined time period, a time period, when an operation current of a ground-fault circuit interrupter cannot be output sufficiently with the amount of the electric current capable of being outputted from the current generation part, is predicted.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
