Abstract:
To provide a step-up converter that can appropriately protect a small rated switch from excess current.SOLUTION: A step-up converter 10 comprises first to third reactors 11a to 11c, first to third lower arm switches S1L to S3L, first to third upper arm switches S1H to S3H, and a control device 30. A rated current Irc1 of the first lower arm switch S1L is smaller than rated currents Irc2 and Irc3 of the second and third lower arm switches S2L and S3L. The control device 30 performs switching control between the lower arm switches S1L to S3L so as to make a protection degree of the first lower arm switch S1L from excess current larger than a protection degree of the second and third lower arm switches S2L and S3L from excess current.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
