Abstract:
To provide a lathe in which chips around a cutter holder can be easily recovered.SOLUTION: A lathe 1 comprises head stocks 10, 20, cutting holders 40, 50, a support stand 30, and drive parts U2, U3. The support stand 30 so supports the first cutting holder 40 at a side part 31 as to be transportable. The first cutting holder drive part U2 moves the first cutting holder 40 in a first axial direction (Y1 axis direction) orthogonal to a center line AX1 of a first spindle 11. The second headstock drive part U3 is orthogonal to the center line AX1 of the first spindle 11, and moves the second head stock 20 in a second axial direction (X2 axis direction) which is oblique with respect to the first axial direction (Y1 axis direction). The second cutting holder 50, which holds a second tool T2, is located at a position at which the second cutting holder does not overlap with plural first tools T1 in a third axial direction (X1 axis direction), and is located at a position at which the second tool T2 and a part (range R1) existing on an extension line of the second tool T2 overlap with the plural first tools T1 in a center line direction (Z1 axis direction) of the first spindle 11.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
