Abstract:
To provide abrasive wheel shape correction device and shape correction method by which smooth outer peripheral surface of an abrasive wheel can be obtained at a low cost.SOLUTION: A shape correction device 60 for an abrasive wheel 51 comprises: a grindstone stand 50; a shape correction tool 61; a first moving unit 21 which performs relative traverse movement of the grindstone stand 50 and the shape correction tool 61; and a control unit 70 which performs shape correction of the rotating abrasive wheel 51 by use of the shape correction tool 61. The control unit controls the first moving unit, thereby causing one of the abrasive wheel 51 and the shape correction tool 61 to perform minute reciprocation in a rotation axis direction, and at the same time, moving a center S1 of said minute reciprocation in one direction of the rotation axis direction of the abrasive wheel 51 or moving the other of the abrasive wheel 51 and the shape correction tool 61 in one direction of the rotation axis direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
