Abstract:
To provide a rotary shaft brake gear which can obtain a large brake force with a small control force.SOLUTION: A brake gear 27 for a rotary shaft 15 in which a rotary shaft 15, which is rotatably provided on a stationery portion 14, is provided with a brake operation face 28 having a straight peripheral surface, a taper sleeve 30, which has a straight peripheral surface which is so located as to face the brake operation face 28 and a first taper face 29 which is located coaxially with the straight peripheral surface, is fixed to the stationery portion 14, a brake operation member 35, which has a second taper face 34 having a cone angle same as that of the first taper face 29, is so provided as to be movable in an axial direction and to face both of the taper faces 29, 34, friction reduction means 42 is interposed between the first and second taper faces 29, 34, and brake drive means 44, which moves the brake operation member 35, and performs application and release of a brake force.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
