Abstract:
To enable a high pressure tank to be reused in accordance with interlayer peeling of the high pressure tank.SOLUTION: An high pressure tank inspection method comprises: inspecting the presence of interlayer peeling in a reinforced resin layer of the high pressure tank: determining that replacement of the inspected high pressure tank is unnecessary when there is no interlayer peeling; inspecting the presence of fiber breaking when there is interlayer peeling; determining that replacement of the inspected high pressure tank is necessary when there is fiber breaking; measuring a position and a length of interlayer peeling when there is no fiber breaking: determining that the high pressure tank is usable by setting a period of service or the number of times of filling to be lower than an initial value, when residual strength of a fiber reinforced resin layer obtained from the measured position and length of interlayer peeling exceeds a reference value which is based on preset daily use working pressure; and determining that the high pressure tank is usable by setting a period of service or the number of times of filling to be lower than an initial value; and determining that the high pressure tank is usable by setting daily use working pressure to be low so as to make a reference value on the basis of daily use working pressure lower than residual strength when residual strength is less than a reference value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
