Abstract:
To provide a side reinforcement layer type run-flat tire capable of reducing a tire weight while maintaining steering stability and run-flat durability.SOLUTION: In a pneumatic run-flat tire, a carcass layer 4 is composed of a main body part 4A, and a folding part 4B which is folded along the peripheral border of a wedge-shaped bead core 5 in each bead part 3 to extend toward a sidewall part side while contacting a main body part from the outside end of the bead core in a tire radial direction, and plural fins 9 are provided on the external surface of the sidewall part. The distance WC along a tire width direction from a tire equatorial CL to the outermost side point of the carcass layer 4 in the tire width direction is made to be 1/2 time or less of a nominal tire sectional width. The protrusion height h of the fin in a position at which the fin protrudes at the outermost side in the tire width direction, and the maximum width A of a side reinforcement layer 8 satisfy the relation of h≥0.3×A. The position at which the fin protrudes at the outermost side in the tire width direction is disposed within 0.1 time of a height H of the tire maximum width position in the tire radial direction from the tire maximum width position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
