Abstract:
To provide a controller of an automatic transmission capable of properly performing functional diagnosis of an input rotation sensor and an output rotation sensor.SOLUTION: A sensor diagnosis unit is configured to perform functional diagnosis of: a turbine rotation sensor for detecting a rotation speed of a transmission input shaft, in which driving force from an engine is input via a torque converter having a lock-up clutch; and an output shaft rotation sensor for detecting a rotation speed of a transmission output shaft that is connected to drive wheels and transmits the driving force to the drive wheels. The sensor diagnosis unit is also configured to, based on the engine rotation speed and the wheel rotation speed, when it is determined that engagement elements of the lock-up clutch and an automatic transmission are normal, perform the function diagnosis of the turbine rotation sensor and the output shaft rotation sensor.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
