Abstract:
To provide an electric compressor in which potential difference generating in two adjacent housings can be stably reduced.SOLUTION: An electric compressor 1 is provided which comprises: a compression mechanism compressing a refrigerant; an electric motor as a driving source of the compression mechanism; an inverter driving the electric motor; and a plurality of metallic housings housing the compression mechanism, the electric motor and the invertor, and in which the adjacent two housings are connected to each other through an insulating gasket 60. The electric compressor 1 further comprises a metallic plate 40 which is fixed, at one end side, to the first housing 10 as one of the adjacent two housings, and comes in contact with, at the other end side, the second housing 20 as the other of the adjacent two housings when the adjacent two housings are connected to each other. The adjacent two housings are metallically connected to each other through the metallic plate 40, and the metallic plate 40 is formed into the shape to be elastically deformed when the adjacent two housings are connected to each other.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
